Sites for PSPS/MIH

Ownership Schemes and to make recommendations on how they may be improved in order to provide more flats for the income classes covered by them.

To provide housing for families with household incomes in excess of $6,500 per month.

To secure-

sufficient sites to meet the annual production target of 5,000 PSPS flats and 2,500 MIH flats.

Progress Made & Present Position

-The Working Party held four further meetings

during the quarter. On 29.9.81 ExCo approved a revised basis for determining the prices of future HOS flats, which will exclude land value from the computation and will involve increased restrictions on resale of the flats. The revised policy will also apply to PSPS flats.

Implications of the revised HOS/PSPS policy (item 2 above) for the MIH programme under urgent consideration.

Tentative sites being earmarked for the schemes to sustain development for this decade.

Next Quarter's Target

To implement the revised policy.

To determine a revised MIH pricing policy, to be applied to the Chaiwan Hill scheme

and future developments.
