Progress made and present position

(a) Management Committee for the

establishment of the Registy on a manual basis has been set up and had two meetings. A formal staffing request was made to DAEA on 17 September 1981. Pending the creation of the posts sought, 1 Executive Officer, 1 Clerk and 1 Typist have been loaned to the Branch since 1 October 1981 to enable work to start.

(b) A project definition study report

recommending a systems specification and design study of the proposed computer system has been forwarded to the Computer Committee.

Next quarter target

(a) To finalize the

list of core data, and start data conversion onto standardized" forms specially designed for the Central Registry.
