The background report on the Hong Kong education system has been completed and after consideration in Executive Council, was sent to the Panel of Visitors and the special advisers together with the Report at Item 3(a) below. A press conference was hold on 18 June informing the public about the conduct of the review. Public announcements have also been made regarding procedures for submitting representations to the visitors on any aspect of Hong Kong's education system or for an appoint- ment to meet the Panel by interested persons or groups.
To receive sub- missions to the Panel of Visitors and to finalise
arrangements for their main visitation in October.
