--Purpose

To coordinate, consider and review any necessary amendments or re- visions to major planning standards to reflect changes in policies relating to the utilization of land and to the scale of provision of various services and facilities.

Progress Nade & Present Position.........

Reviews on the following major planning standards are in progress :

a)

Domestic plot ratios in New Towns : Consultants final report was -received and submitted to PWD for

assessment.

Next Quarter Targets

a) Domestic Plot Ratios

Submit consultants report to LDPC.

Proposals to be sub-

mitted to FWD Conference and Planning Standards Sub-Committee of LDPC.

b) Standards of provision for industrial b) Industrial Land :

land Revised HKOP chapter on Industry, including revisions to the basic parameters for industrial classification, worker occupancy rates and plot ratios, considered inter-departmentally.

c) Standards of provision for Social Welfare facilities: Consultative paper on community centre facilities received from SHA.

e) Provision of recreational facilities in Public housing estates: Dis- cussions held on making estate school playgrounds available for public use at certain times.
