(c) Fire Prevention Campaign
The
GIS has earmarked $150,000 for community involvement activities in TP and SK. two districts are working on their pro- posed programmes and budget.
DOO are also working on their formation target for 1981/82 of fire watch patrol teams.
All MAC/OC have been reminded of their responsibility of installing and main- taining fire fight equipment in their buildings.
(a) Road Safety Campaign
ST would hold a Road Safety Campaign in 1981/82. $20,000 has been earmarked for the purpose.
(e) Industrial Safety
Contact between TW and TM, and the Labour Department is underway with a view to launching a major campaign in the two districts (probably in the form of a large exhibition).
(f) Anti-Narcotics
A full scale campaign would be held in ST and a mini one in North.
To continue the monitoring of district involvement activities. A Countryside Fire Prevention Publicity Working Group will meet in May, to discuss publicity for 81-82.
To continue to monitor District programmes. Cycling track in Sha Tin to be opened in mid-1981.
