6. Any queries which may arise about the terms and conditions of your secondment in Hong Kong should be brought, in the first instance, to the attention of the Principal Assistant Secretary (Conditions of Service) of the Civil Service Branch in the Hong Kong Government Secretariat who will, if unable to deal with the query direct, contact the Dependent Territories Staffing Section of Hong Kong and General Department of the FCO which will consult other FCO departments as necessary. Administrative matters should not be raised with the British Trade Commission in Hong Kong who will be responsible only for matters relating to your membership of the Diplomatic Service, ie annual leave returns, family certificates, boarding school returns and, if necessary, for the
encashment of sterling cheques and the refund of medical and dental expenses (see paragraph 5 above).
You are asked to confirm in writing whether you accept the appointment on these conditions.
