Please see the attached Record of a Meeting held in the FCO on 13 November. You will see from Page 3, the second paragraph down, that there was discussion of special pre-posting training for officers going to dependent territories. I should be most grateful if you could advise on the sort of general training undertaken by ODA personnel prior to their postings to dependent territories. be that this training is purely professional i.e. related to their functions in the territory, rather than a general briefing on constitutional etc practice; but I should welcome any advice you may have or suggestions as to others either within the ODA or outside who may be able to help.
