Expatriation pay
7. 1980.
Expatriation pay will be revised with effect from 1st April For details, see Appendix 9. A revised Annex VIII to Civil Service Regulations will issue shortly.
Other allowances
8.
Allowances expressed as a percentage of point 1 of the Master Pay Scale will be revised in accordance with the rates in Appendix 10. Apart from these allowances and those which are specifically mentioned in this circular, no other allowances are affected.
Quarters and rent
9.
1980.
Rent deductions will be adjusted with effect from 1st April
Widows' and Orphans' Pension Scheme
10.
Officers who are contributors to the Widows' and Orphans' Pension Scheme may, as a result of the present revision of salary, have passed the $125 flat rate at which they may wish to contribute to that Scheme and will be given an opportunity to opt retrospectively to 1st April 1980. Departmental Secretary should draw the attention of officers concerned to paras. 1 to 4 of Treasury Circular No. 7/80 dated 22.5.80.
Timing of payment
11.
The revised rates and arrears will be paid together with September 1980 salaries.
Supplementary provision
12.
The new levels of salaries for the remainder of the financial year, together with net arrears, will be charged to departmental personal emoluments votes. Finance Committee has approved supplementary provision for all Personal Emoluments subheads as set out in Appendix 11 to this circular. Heads of Departments should now submit GF 122's in the usual
manner.
