STANDING COMMITTEE ON DIRECTORATE SALARIES AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

(a)

Terms of Reference

The Committee will keep under review the structure (i.e. the number of levels, the pay rates appropriate to each post) of the Directorate, including the grouping of departments for salary purposes, together with the other conditions of service of Directorate officers, and will make recommendations to the Governor.

The Committee will also, when it so determines, conduct an overall review.

In the course of this, the Committee should accept the existing internal structure of departments and not consider the creation of new Directorate posts. If, however, the Committee in an overall review discovers anomalies, it may comment upon and refer such matters to the Chief Secretary.
