2. Hilton asked that we negotiate with the South Koreans for multi-entry visas. Before we take this any further, we would like to know what the present position is. I am told that South Koreans visiting Hong Kong for more than 7 days require a visa. Is this so, and have you approached the South Koreans on this matter? We also need to know what the South Korean present requirements are.

3.

Hilton also said that UK nationals do not require a visa for visits of 30 days or less. I understand the period is in fact 90 days under the visa abolition. agree- ment.

4. Whilst I cannot now commit this Office to taking this further, you will appreciate that we could not ask for more for Hong Kong than we have under our existing agreement.
