Swedish Legation,
20th March, 1947 I HAVE the honour to acknowledge receipt of your note of to-day's date in which you inform me that, as a first step towards the eventual restoration of freedom of travel to Sweden and to British territories, His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom are prepared to conclude with.the Government of Sweden an agreement in the following terms:-
[As in No. 1, sub-paragraphs (1)–(4)]
2. I have the honour to inform you that the Swedish Government are prepared to accept the foregoing provisions and that your note and the present reply in similar terms shall be regarded as placing on record the agreement between the two Governments, which shall take effect 1st April, 1947.
