We have been considering the proposals discussed

between our officials for the provision in the Nationality

Bill dealing with transmission of citizenship to children

born abroad of certain categories for whom the FCO has an

interest the British Council, HM Overseas Civil Service,

British employees of international organisations,

personnel working on aid projects overseas, and UK

expatriates working for colonial governments.

I am writing to let you know that we agree with

the provisions which your officials are drafting.
