Right of Entry to U.K.
He has no right of entry to the United
Kingdom except in the following
circumstances:
i)
He has no right of entry to the United
Kingdom except in the following
circumstances:
He has a legal right of entry to the i)
UK if he has resided in the UK
for 5 years and is free of any
conditions of stay.
He would have a legal right of
entry if he has resided in the
UK for 5 years and is free of
any conditions of stay, prior
to the enactment of the legis-
lation proposed in the Green
Paper. If he acquires his 5
years residence after the
enactment of the legislation
proposed, he may have any
condition of stay removed,
depending on the UK immigration
rules in force at that time. But,
He has no right of entry to the UK except in
the following circumstances:
i)
He would acquire British Citizenship (and
a legal right of entry) if he has resided
in the UK for 5 years and is free of any
conditions of stay on the day that new
legislation comes into force. For someone
having less than 5 years residence on that
day, he would acquire British Citizenship
(and a legal right of entry) on completion
of 5 years residence provided he would
then free of conditions of stay.
