General Provisions Already Agreed
1. That British Citizenship shall descend in the male tâ
female line to the first generation born outside the United Kingdom.
2.
That the present arrangement by which citizenship, maj
be transmitted for an indefinite number of generations in
the male line, by means of registration of the birth by consuls in foreign countries, shall be discontinued.
3. That births of children abroad to Crown Servants shall
in all cases be deemed to be births in the United Kingdom.
B.
Concession for Citizenship by Descent Beyond the First
Generation
1. It is agreed that there shall be some concession over and above that given in A1 above to the children of people with a suitable connection with the United Kingdom. The
connection would be that:-
(a) a parent has up to the time of the birth been
employed full time with a United Kingdom organisation (see below) for 5 years. If he has been employed for
less than 5 years then subject to a minimum period of,
