PQS: HONG KONG: ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION FROM CHINA AND VIETNAMESE REFUGEES

1. Mr Ian Wrigglesworth MP (Teesside, Thornaby Labour) has put

down two PQs for written answer on 20 May (to reach Parliamentary

Unit by noon on 21 May). Mr Wrigglesworth, who is Vice Chairman

of the Anglo-Hong Kong Parliamentary Group, has twice visited Hong

Kong at the invitation of the Hong Kong Government.

2. I submit draft replies to the Questions, which are based on

the latest information supplied by the Hong Kong Government.

Since Mr Blaker is familiar with these topics, there is no back-

ground note.
