Last year Sir Anthony Parsons made a speech on refugees in the Third Committee debate, the draft elements for which were provided from London. am writing to New 78ft g ask if notes for a speech will be required again this year and will let recipients of this minute know if this is the case. I shall also be minuting separately on point 10, coordination of refugee assistance, on which a resolution was adopted (and the US representative made proposals) at the last session of ECOSOC.

5. Would recipients please also take this minute as advance warning of a likely requirement to brief for the UNHCR Executive Committee meeting, on which I shall also be minuting shortly.
