9. To sum up, it was agreed that the new procedure for dealing with refugee applications would reduce the workload of our Embassy considerably. By sending copies, as well as originals, of documents

to the Embassy, the latter would be saved the work of duplicating the

forms themselves. Mr Jamieson thanked Mr Love and his colleagues for

their ready appreciation of Hanoi's difficulties and for agreeing to

take on more of the necessary clerical work.
