kitchen, platform for vehicle, airmail centre and repair and renovation of the Airport Building. Of course, a large sum of money laid out for the purpose will come from local taxpayers. This forms a contrast to their hope that once successful in gaining a licence to operate HK/Lon route, C.P.A. should have an increase in their net profits, and a certain amount of contri- butions to the Government revenue would be possible, i.e. a big offer to the construction of Chap Lap Kok Airport and the maintenance work of Kai Tak Air-

port.

Representing the opinion of the N. T. people and basing ourselves on the public interest of this Colony, we declare that we shall decidedly support Hong Kong airline C.P.A. for operating HK/Lon route. We hope that our true and earnest representation contained in this letter could result in your sympathetic consideration over the matter in question and your favourable support.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,

For and on behalf of the Heung yee Kuk, New Territories, Hong Kong
