4.1.
Recommendations.
Mr. Wu noted that British Airways had for some considerable timė. been exempt from the requirements of the Hong Kong Air Transport (Licensing of Air Services) Regulations. Mr. Cheong agreed that a review should be carried out of the need for a continued exemption of British Airways as he also failed to see why this privilege should be extended.
4.2.
Mr. Wu proposed that the Paper presented to hembers should be endorsed noting particularly the point concerning reciprocity. He stated the personal view that a point should be added concerning the substantial sums of money paid cut by the Hong long tax payer on items concerning aviation. After some discussion it was agreed to recommend that a state- ment should be added noting that consideration should be given to the value of the existing and planned airport in Hong long to British aviation.

Fr. Cheong seconded the endorsement of the Paper and the added point for consideration. He went on to summarize the earlier recommendations of the Board for a review of the licensing regulations adding the need for appeal and direction procedures, and the need for the exemption of British Airways to be reviewed.
