To sum up, the CAA has made a wrong decision which has very serious implications. But we have always been respectful towards the British Government and the British people for their integrity and sense of fairplay. In dealing with all sorts of matter, whenever they find they have made a mistake, be it intentional or unintentional, or whenever they notice that their decision is being criticise, they will make a complete review of the matter at hand in a calm manner. And when they discover that they are really wrong, they will definitely change their decision and seek to remedy the situation so that harm will not be done. Such is a virtue of the British Government and the British people; a virtue which deserves our respect. We are 100 per cent sure that when the British Government and the authorities concerned know of the reactions to this unfortunate decision, they will review the entire matter and will take immediate steps to find a reasonable solution to the matter. We are sure they will take into consideration the real situation in Hong Kong and Britain and will act in deference to public opinion. Looking at the matter from this angle, we have no doubt that CPA will ultimately manage to turn the tide and get the licence to opeate the air service.
