You will have received from Mr Blaker ffice a submission on this subject from MAED. The LPS may wish in addition to see the attached letter of 29 March from the Governor of Hong Kong enclosing a batch of correspondence from a number of prominent figures attacking the decision. The letters do not, however, call for any change in the draft letter to Mr Nott.

If the LPS does agree to write I would be grateful to know when the letter has gone so that we can send copies of the last two letters to the DOT.
