Dear Sirs,

Further to our recent discussions with your represen- tatives I now enclose a final draft of the Agreement between the Commissioner for Transport and your goodsolves concerning those requirements which it is agreed should be not to assist in your maintaining a proper and efficient public omnibus service.

We wish to reiterate that, as you have been aware throughout these negotiations, it is and has been the intention of Government to seek the approval of Legislative Council to emend the Public Ommbus Services Ordinance, and indeed the nature of these proposed amendments has been indicated to you in detail.

Despite the deletion of the former clause 7 from the proposed draft agreement, it remains necessary and it remaing the Government's intention to seek to amend sub-section (2) of Section 12 by introducing therein a reference to the Agreellons. In other words, the sub-section will be emended to state that the service must be maintained and operated in accordance wich the frenchise, the Ordinance and the above-mentioned draft. As you know, the Government also proposes to introduce other amendmento along the lines already shown to you.

If the terms of the enclosed draft agroeneut ere acceptable to you would you please co indicate on the lower part of page 7 by initialling the same.
