cannot prevent him getting hold of Lord Carrington
when the latter visits Hong Kong but I hope that Kadoorie
can be discouraged from any idea of tagging along n
the margins of the China leg of the visit. This could
very easily cut across Lord Carrington's plans and give
the Chinese a totally wrong impression of what we have
in mind.
