(c) KEC will sell 1/3 of its 60% share of electricity (i.e. 20% of total NPS generation) to CLP at a price 10% higher than that of NPS. CLP will pay foreign currency for this purchase.

(d) CLP will be the sole agent for the sale and distribution of the electricity received both from NPS and KEC in Hong Kong.

Safety Standards

(a) The two 900 MWe PWR machines will be built and operated to

the U.K. safety standards.

As a separate task, the U.K., if required, will help PRC in setting up China's 'safety standards based on the IAEA guidelines as interpreted by NII (UK).

The PRC and the British Government will undertake insurance of plant, third party risks and disaster liability.

Construction and Supply of Equipment

(a)

As a principle, equipment and services should be supplied, as much as possible, by PRC/Guangdong and the U.K./Hong Kong, provided the prices and performances of their supplies are competitive.

(b) CLP and KEC, with the support from PRC and the U.K., will form a Project Management Company (PMC) to be registered in Hong Kong.
