The Secretary of State can reassure Sir Lawrence Kadoorie of HMG's serious and continuing interest in the project.

2 The Secretary of State will recall that the Prime Minister has written to Sir Lawrence Kadoorie expressing her appreciation for his efforts and the Secretary of State himself wrote on 8 April promising to provide the specialists needed for the CLP/ KEC study groups. Since then, suggestions have been put to CLP, and Sir Lawrence will have had a meeting with the project group on Tuesday 29 April. These experts are being provided at no cost

to CLP.
