I said that the import of large numbers of Chinese labour into the territort might cause difficulties. They already had to absorb a lot of illegal immigrants. Some form of Chinese participation in management should not cause too many problems.
7. Mr Pasteur undertook to send us a map which he has showing the general outline of the concessionary blocks in the South China Sea.
8. We should now get together our information on Hong Kong's plans on oil and consider how we follow this up with the Hong Kong Government. There would be opportunities when the Governor and Mr Dorward are in London at the beginning of August.
