we have used when referring to individual land

leases in the New Territories. It is 个别的

土地姐約

The alternative word, for referring to land leases

is

土地契約

This version has the advantage that it is less easy

to confuse with the Lease as such.

2. I would have given you this in Hong Kong but, sadly,

it now seems that we will only see you on the way out of China.

I have looked into the magazine question. original version has ceased publication. It has, however, been replaced by something very similar. I will show you copies when you come through here or write to the FCO if that part of the trip too has to be cancelled.
