Reference has been made to new airports for Hong Kong

in the notes for supplementaries because Mr Parry has in the

past asked questions about this against a background of

suggestions that the finance for such an airport would not be

forthcoming because of the expiry of the Lease on the New

Territories.

5. The draft reply and notes for supplementaries have been

cleared with Hong Kong and Peking.
