JOINT VENTURES BETWEEN HONG KONG AND CHINA

7. There is an increasing number of joint ventures between

Hong Kong and China. The majority are industrial projects

in Guangdong province, many of them in the special economic

zones which the Chinese authorities have established in the

area. HMG and the Hong Kong Government welcome the development

of such projects. They underline the growing economic cooperation

between the Territory and southern China.
