Hong Kong and China. We do not have a figure for the total

number of projects.

3. The unemployment rate for 1979 was only 3.4%. The

construction industry is severely overstretched.

Consumer prices increased by approximately 12% in 1979

and the overall increase in GDP in real terms was 11.5%.

Per capita GDP increase in real terms was 5%, reflecting

the heavy growth in population.
