FAMILIARISATION VISIT TO HONG KONG AND PEKING

1. I have already replied to your telegram No.711, and I do apologise for the confusion and delay caused by the non-delivery of my letter of 20 May. This is a complete mystery as it was delivered by hand to the Bag Room in order to catch the Hong Kong and Peking bags closing that day. Even if it missed that bag, it should have reached you by now in the following bag. A further copy of the letter is enclosed.
