I attach as much of the briefing for this visit as we have assembled thus far The only outstanding parts are agenda notes, information for which we stigh awal t/from Hong Kong, and speech notes. There have also been a Barber of unofficial and unsolicited contributions to the mission briefing which we will submit in a separate folder.
2. The programme is subject to minor revision and a detailed one giving timings of departures for engagements and transit times between them will follow. The present: programme indicates dress where necessary. No engagements are black tie. You will see that there will be a welcoming committee on arrival at Kai Tak airport and press photographers (but not journalists) will be present.
3. The Minister, I am sure, has no need of a steering brief, but for the record I understand the aims of the mission to be as follows:

Develop better contacts at a high level between the UK fabric industry and theHong Kong garment industry;
b) Bring to the attention of the Hong Kong garment
industry the high quality fabrics available from UK suppliers;
