a) The extent of the local market and the scope for UK
fabrics;
b) Competitiveness of UK fabrics and how best to sell
them;
c) How can British manufacturers best support their local
agents to expand British fabric sales;
d) What in turn do British principals expect from their
agents?
Aims of the mission
a) Develop better contacts between industries at a high
level.

b) Bring to the attention of the Hong Kong garment industry the high quality fabrics available from UK suppliers.

Demonstrate that we recognise HK as a market as well as
a supplier.
The Hong Kong garment industry imports around £1,000 million of fabrics per year.
Much of this is from low cost suppliers such UK fabrics generally fit in at the top end of
