Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred upon Her by section the Carriage of Goods by Sta Act 1971 (a) and of all other powers enabling Her in that behalf is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:-

Protection of trading interests

1. This Order may be cited as the Carriage of Goods by Sea (Bermuda) Order 1980 and shall come into operation on 1st December 1980.

Protection of trading infecast, Act 1980

2. The Carriage of Goods by See Act 1974, subject to the exceptions, adaptations and modifications as set out in the Schedule hereto, shall extend to Bermuda.

3. Save as is expressly provided otherwise therein, any reference in the Schedule to this Order to any enactment of the United Kingdom shall be construed as a reference to that enactment as applying or extended to Bermuda.
