I have the honour to refer to the Deputy Governor's letter of 22 August about the posts for which my approval is required under the provisions of Colonial Regulation 19 for appointments and promotions.

With effect from 1 November 1978 the list given in my despatch HKA 431/4 of 14 November 1977 is cancelled and my approval will be needed only for appointments and promotions to the following posts:-

Attorney General

Financial and Development Secretary

Principal Auditor

Commissioner of Police

Deputy Commissioner of Police
