TRANSFER TO POD (HEADS OF MISSION SECTION) OF CERTAIN RESPONSIBILITIES CONNECTEL WITH THE APPOINTMENT OF GOVERNORS

1. Following the inspection of POD in October, the Home Inspector recommended that various functions at present performed by Heads of Mission Section for Ambassadors/High Commissioners should be extended to include Officers Administering Governments of dependent territories. Miss Brett Rooks accordingly minuted to Miss walker (her minute of 5 September copy attached). However, I understand that it is not possible for Heads of Mission Section to implement any new arrangement without the approval of the Head

of FOD.

2. I wonder if you would be good enough to say when we might expect to see implementation of the new arrangement?
