Mr Stanley Allen, who has just completed his contract as Attorney-General Anguilla, came in to see me to make his number. He was formerly in St Helena and Tanganyika.

2. He is now 65 and does not wish to take on any more long contract appointments overseas. However, he is hopeful that he can continue part time work lecturing on law, and would be happy to consider any short term assignements of a few months at a time. For example, revising laws (he particularly mentioned company and land law), or short term acting appointments.

3. I suggest that we note his name in case we need someone to act as Attorney-General in one of the Dependent Territories on a short term basis (Mr Ashley Greenwood helped us out last time in Montserrat).
