that following Mrs. Penhearow's representations, her husband's tax position has again been reviewed. As a result, the Commissioner has told me that there is a further refund due to the Estate, substantially more than the loss Mrs. Penhearow claims to have suffered as a result of fluctuations in the rate of exchange between the Hong Kong dollar and the pound sterling. A cheque in settlement was handed to Mr. John Chambers on 31st August 1979 and the Commissioner of Inland Revenue also wrote to Mrs. Penhearow on the same day.

I hope that the matter is now satisfactorily resolved and that Mrs. Penhearow accepts the Commissioner of Inland Revenue's explanation.
