Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service

On 12th December 1978, the Executive Council approved the terms of reference and composition of a new Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service, subject to consultations with staff associations. Subsequently the Staff Side of the Senior Civil Service Council was consulted on these matters and on the membership. In addition, over one hundred individual grade staff associations, including Police Associations, were consulted on the terms of reference and composition. Heads of departments were also invited to comment, and in some departments it was also possible to consult non-unionised staff.

As a result of these comments, a slightly revised version of the terms of reference and composition has now been agreed and a copy is annexed.
