I enclose copies of two letters from Lord Brockway and Mr James Johnson MP and their enclosures to the Secretary of State.

2. We are of course aware that the Public Order Ordinance is currently under review and have recommended interim replies accordingly. Nonetheless, we should be most grateful for your comments on the memorandum entitled "Selective Application of the Law in Hong Kong" and the press cutting. We have already asked David Akers-Jones for his comments on the memorandum entitled "Saga of the Village of Peace and Happiness, Hong Kong" in connection with another MP's letter.
