The enclosures to your letter to David of

the 18 June have now arrived and I am enclosing a background note on the eviction which I think covers all the points Elsie Elliott has made in her letter. It is, in fact, a letter to which she has given a wide distribution and which appeared in the South China Morning Post. I also enclose a copy of the Police reply to the Post letter which was purposely made non-committal as the matter is subjugate.
