This

Thank you for your letter of 25th January 1979 addressed to the Secretary for Housing. branch has already co-ordinated some action on the issue of boat squatters, hence I have been asked to reply. You should by now have a copy of the brief on government's policy on resettlement of boat squatters which I telexed to Denis Bray on 26th January. This should give most of the background required. Please let me know if more is required.

Soco have obviously circulated a number of Members of Parliament James Johnson has been in touch with the London Office (which resulted in the telexed brief) others have been in contact with you.
