ISSUE OF VISAS FOR CHINA BY CHINA TRAVEL SERVICE IN HONG KONG

I agree that the arguments for allowing the CTS to issue visas are such that we would not wish to object to this departure from the convention that only accredited officials should be recognised as legitimate visa issuing authorities. If any attempt is made to quote this special arrangement as a precedent for allowing a non- official body in Taiwan to issue British visas then I am sure we will be able to reject any such argument.
