IMMIGRATION (VIETNAMESE PROHIBITED IMMIGRANTS)

ORDER 1979

Citation.

Made by the Governor in Council under section 37B

1. This order may be cited as the Immigration

(Vietnamese Prohibited Immigrants) Order 1979.

Vietnamese residents refused permission to land.

Exceptions.

2. All persons resident or previously resident

in Vietnam, except persons specified in paragraph 3,

are refused permission to land in Hong Kong.

3. The persons excepted from the application of

paragraph 2 are

(a) any person holding a travel document

(i) in relation to which an exemption has

been granted under section 61(2) of the

Ordinance; or

(ii) which bears an unexpired visa issued by

or on behalf of the Director of Immigration;

and

(b)

any person who has landed in Hong Kong with

the permission of an immigration officer.
