Mr Blaker said that the lack of accommodation in Peking was causing our Embassy great difficulty. Two members of the Embassy were already working from their flats and there was urgent need for more staff. Mr Ke said he would talk to his authorities about this when he returned. He hoped the position would be better next year.
9. Mr Blaker said he hoped the Air Services negotiations in Peking would continue to make good progress.
