Of those expelled by Amin how many were, UKPH, dependents of UKPH, Ugandan citizens, Indian citizens?

Of those expelled by Amin in 1972, how many have actually arrived in this country and how many are still waiting to come?

I recognise that this list of questions is not exhaustive and that the Home Office has traditionally been somewhat reluctant to reveal true and complete figures. Nonetheless Mr Blaker considers that if we are to have a defensible position at the UN conference on 20 - 21 July, we will have to

say, not only that Britain has absorbed large numbers of immigrants over the last 25 years, but also that when people with a relationship with this country, were deprived of their livelihood by tyranny, we made a very substantial effort to rescue them.

5.

You may also wish to prepare briefing on other cases when Britain has received refugees from tyranny. For example, how many Germans (Jews and others) came to this country between 1933 - 39: how many Hungarians after 1956: how many Czechs after 1968: how many Chileans after the fall of Allende.
