UNHCR'S KOLE IN HONG KONG
2. Up to 16 October UNHCR has resettled in more than
20 countries 13,831 refugees since 1 January 1979. Relations
between the UNHCR and the Hong Kong Government are good. We
are striving to ensure that UNHCR allocations will fully take
into account the fact that Hong Kong now has a greater number
of refugees under its temporary care than any other country
in the region.
