REGISTRY

2. Mr Alastair Goodlad (Conservative, Northwich) has tabled a question for oral answer on 31 October, to ask the Lord Privy Seal when he expects to meet the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.

3.

It is quite clear from Mr Goodlad's previous PQs that his interest is Indo-China refugees. (Indeed, SEAD handled an identical question from Mr Goodlad on 11 July.) I would, therefore, be grateful if you could provide me with full draft supplementaries and a background note on Indo-China refugees, both the boat people and the overland refugees, and on Cambodian famine relief.

4. I would be grateful if Mr Williamson, HK&GD, to whom I am copying this minute, could do the same on the question of the refugees in Hong Kong.

5. As I shall be away on leave from tomorrow, could you please send the drafts to Mrs Tucker (extension 5032) by noon on 23 October.
