Water and provisions were promised on the morning 8th August, the weather was deteriorating and Typoon Signals were hoisted in Hong Kong, the water boat was taken out of ration into shelter, stores were received from a Tug, our two siak refug- ees coum not re-embark due to weather conditions. At 1745 on the 8th August the anchor was weighed and the vessel put to sea bound for Shanghai, The vessel had on board 58 crew and 120 refugees.
The names of the hospitalised refugees are, Taan Chat, aged 22, Male and Nguyen Thi Kim Dung, aged 23, Female. The former has his only living relative on the vessel, he is a first cousin, Vo Van Ba, aged 29, Male. Kim Dung leaves on board the vessel her sister, Nguyen Thi Kim Anh, aged 17, Female. Government Officials in Hong Kong told me that when and to where rapatriation takes place they will make all efforts to re-unite these families.
