Mrs. Mary Craig's Refugee Book

You will by now have seen our telegram about Mrs. Craig we look forward to giving her all the help we can with her book. This prompts me to mention, in case you have not already heard, that Penguin are also doing a book on Vietnamese boat refugees, which they hope will appear some time next month. Much of it is being written by Michael Richardson, who is the Singapore- based correspondent for four Australian newspapers; he visited

us last month and spent a week here going round the camps and being briefed very thoroughly by us all. His deadline for copy is 25 September, and, when last we heard, Penguin were hoping to have the book on sale not much more than a month later.

You may

like to keep your ear to the ground for it I enclose for interest a skeleton outline of it which Michael Richardson gave me during his visit.
